Grameen Foundation USA
Grameen Foundation USA and the Mosaic Foundation worked together to create the Mosaic Fund for the Arab World. The Fund supports the establishment and growth of poverty-focused microfinance programs in the area by providing the necessary financial support, training, and technical assistance to microfinance institutions in up to four Arab countries including Egypt and Morocco.
The video to the right is an introduction to the Grameen Foundation, and highlights many of the programs that it has been involved with, throughout the world.
Assist International
Assist International is a humanitarian organization dedicated to relieving human suffering around the world by networking the resources in the world, with the great human need that exists. They provide assistance and relief supplies such as food and medical equipment to the poor and needy in developing nations. Mosaic Foundation helped fund a medical project in Sudan.
A phototherapy light was put into immediate use and doctors' and nurses' effectiveness was greatly increased by the donation of the medical equipment.
Assist International installed a patient monitoring system by a team of volunteers from the USA.
The completed Neonatal/Pediatric UCU included a 10-bed patient monitoring system, two ventilators, four phototherapy lights and one ultrasound. Additional equipment was installed in the Omdurman Teaching Hospital.
Betty Earle of Modesto, CA trained the nurses in the use the patient monitors and how to respond to various alarms.
N Street Village
NSV empowers homeless and low-income women to claim their highest quality of life by offering a range of services and advocacy in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. The also provide affordable housing for low-income families and individuals.
